Customer Service


The City of Panama City provides water, wastewater and garbage services to residences and businesses in the community. If you wish to start, stop or transfer service, or have questions about your city utility services regarding meter readings, billings or payments, we invite you to visit with a customer service representative at the Utility Billing Office or, if you prefer, call us at 850-872-3166 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

New Accounts


Utility services provided by the City of Panama City may include water, sewer, and garbage. Please contact the Utility Billing Customer Service @ 850-872-3166 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for the current utility deposit required to set up a new account.  The deposit required varies due to the size of meter and if the service is inside or outside the corporate limits. All customers are required to provide proper identification. For more information on connection procedures, you may call 850-872-3166 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Deposit Refund


Residential utility deposits are refunded to customers who have not had a delinquent utility account or an account that has been disconnected for 24 consecutive months. If your deposit has not been refunded and you closed your city utility account, the deposit is applied to the final balance owed to the city. Any remaining balance of the deposit will be refunded to the customer. For additional information, please call Utility Billing.

Stopping & Transferring Services


You can stop utility services by telephone by calling Customer Service representative.  We would be able to accomplish this for you the same day if you call before 12 noon, or next business day if you call afternoon. If you are transferring, you will need to complete a new application for the new location, and, possibly, provide a lease.  If you are moving, it is important that you give us a forwarding address for your final bill or deposit refund.
