The Leisure Services Division provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities for citizens of all ages. The programs range from organized activities for senior citizens to baseball, softball and basketball league games and other athletic activities.
Leisure Services currently maintains over 220 developed acres that include ball fields, tennis courts, parks, community centers, two marinas, and four boat launch ramps.
The city sponsors over 1,100 baseball and softball league games each year and over 300 events are held in city parks. During the course of a year, more than 60,000 city and county residents and tourists will utilize the wide variety of recreational opportunities provided by the city.

Oaks By The Bay:
Located at 2715 W. 10th Street, Oaks By The Bay is a beautiful addition to Panama City's Parks. With it's boardwalk overlooking St. Andrews Bay, it is the perfect location to watch the sunset. The power equipped gazebo, as well as the historic oaks provide for the perfect location for weddings, family, outings and many other special events. This park also exhibits several historic artifacts and a four-headed pal tree.
McKenzie Park: McKenzie Park is a community park which is a great location for special events. It is an illuminated passive nature park with a beautifully spacious gazebo. It's four fountains make for a picture perfect day.
Dog Parks: The Al Helms Dog Park held it's grand opening on September 12, 2014. It is located at 1022 Balboa Ave. It has separate areas for large and small dogs. Both are great spaces for dogs of all sizes to run and play off their leash. These areas are equipped with benches, water spigots, and plenty of grassy area. Please remember to clean up after your dog, and to follow the rules that are posted in the park.
