The City of Panama City's Quality of Life department provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities for citizens of all ages. The programs range from organized activities for senior citizens to softball and basketball league games and other athletic activities.

A Few Park Highlights:
Oaks By The Bay: Oaks by the Bay Park, located at 2715 W. 10th Street, is a beautiful addition to Panama City's waterfront park system. The 5-acre park is located on beautiful St. Andrews Bay. It is shaded from the sun by majestic oak trees and is home to a very unique and perhaps the world's only 4-headed palm tree. The park also has a boardwalk to the bay, a gazebo, and an observation platform with benches for those who like to watch the sailboats pass by.
McKenzie Park: McKenzie Park is located downtown at the corner of Oak Avenue and Park Street. It is a peaceful nature park, illuminated at night. The park boasts a beautiful spacious gazebo and It's four fountains make for a picture perfect day. The park serves as a very popular site for weddings, live music, art and crafts shows and farmers markets.
Dog Parks: The Al Helms Dog Park held it's grand opening on September 12, 2014. It is located at 1022 Balboa Avenue It has separate areas for large and small dogs. Both are great spaces for dogs of all sizes to run and play off their leash. These areas are equipped with benches, water spigots, and plenty of grassy area. Please remember to clean up after your dog, and to follow the rules that are posted in the park.
