St. Andrews CRA

The St. Andrews CRA was created in 1989 to eliminate blight and slum conditions in the St. Andrews area. The historic center strategy of the CRA involves building on the unique historical character of St. Andrews with a growing number of activities which attract people, including restaurants, neighborhood, retail and service businesses, and water-dependent recreational activities. The area has an enhanced attractiveness to visitors due to the amenities of historic scale, public open space, and a pleasant pedestrian walking environment with a respect for encouraging tourist activities.

The area has grown and flourished with over 13 restaurants and numerous small shops. Take a look at the community website for the area http://www.historicstandrews.com/
