Public Meeting for Cherry Street Infrastructure Project
Monday, January 25, 2021
The City of Panama City will hold a second public meeting on Monday, January 25th at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the upcoming infrastructure replacement project for Cherry Street (Cove Neighborhood).
The City Commission has approved a Task Order with Panhandle Engineering for the design and permitting for the full reconstruction of Cherry Street. At the meeting, the Public Works Team will present conceptual options for the reconstruction project and seek the community’s feedback. The project will include utility replacement, stormwater improvements, lighting, sidewalks, bike lanes and landscaping. The design and permitting are expected to take about seven months to complete.
The project is being funded by Bay County’s Half-Cent Surtax which was approved by voters in 2016.
The meeting will be held at City Hall in Room 010. Citizens may also attend virtually via Zoom. The Meeting ID and Passcode will be posted here prior to the meeting.
