The City of Panama City is relocating water and sewer lines along Highway 390 between 23rd Street and Baldwin Avenue in preparation for the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Highway 390 Expansion project.

FDOT’s proposed expansion project includes widening this section of S.R. 390 from two to six lanes, constructing drainage improvements, and adding dedicated bicycle lanes, sidewalks and accessibility improvements.

The City Commission awarded a construction bid to the lowest bidder to L & K Contracting Company, Inc. in the amount of $4,503,750. Utility relocation is anticipated to take eight months.

Construction activities are weather dependent and might be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to use caution and to watch for heavy equipment and construction workers entering and exiting the roadway.
