Notice is hereby given that the City Commission for the City of Panama City will hold a Public Hearing on February 9, 2021 at 8 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. The meeting location will be at the Bay County Commission Meeting Room, located in the Bay County Government Complex, 840 West 11th Street and is for the purpose of considering approval of the proposed City of Panama City, Florida Department of Environmental (FDEP), State Revolving Fund (SRF), adoption of the combined Water-Wastewater Facility Plan. This hearing will include a discussion of the Facility Plan and the financial impact on system users. The hearing is intended to afford individuals the opportunity to be heard on the economic and social effects of the location, design and environmental impact of the drinking water and clean water improvements.
The funding for this project is anticipated to come from the FDEP-SRF loan program. In general, the project will include upgrades to existing wastewater collection and conveyance systems and treatment facilities, along with the drinking water distribution system.
