The Panama City Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Bay Youth Summer Work Foundation are beginning a new initiative, Employ Bay Youth, to connect businesses in need of employees with young adults looking for a summer job.
The program will provide young adults, ages 16 to 21, with resume assistance, skills training, and transportation. It will also provide employers with background checks for all potential employees.
The goal of Employ Bay Youth is to meet the needs of businesses while providing youth with opportunities to gain new skills and earn money. The program is free for both young adults and employers.
An orientation for job seekers will be held on Tuesday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rutherford High School Band Room, located at 1000 School Avenue. Young adults interested in attending are encouraged to fill out the online application prior to orientation. The application can be found at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffS6hXlgTfL2thE668GIjpRoaEa8DiaZOSPPY6SvSJjGFpLw/viewform.
