Description:
This project consists of re-constructing Sudduth Park and includes one new baseball field, parking, dug outs, batting cages, pavilions, fencing, lighting, landscaping and other associated amenities. The project also includes the rehabilitation of Lift Station 86.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bidders shall submit a Bid on a lump sum basis for the Base Bid and include a separate lump sum and unit prices for each Alternate Bid described in the Bid Form. Comparison of Bids shall be based on total lump sum Base Bid amount. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract (if awarded) based on the base bid and any combination of alternate, additive or deductive (if applicable) bid item(s), whichever the Owner feels is in their best interest.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Panhandle Engineering Inc., 600 Ohio Avenue, Lynn Haven, Florida 32444, and Phone No. (850) 763-5200. Point of Contact will be Chris Forehand, P.E., Panhandle Engineering, Inc. via email at or phone 850.763.5200. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 AM & 5:00 , PM and may obtain digital copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Bidding Documents are available for a non-refundable charge of $50.00, made payable to: “Panhandle Engineering . Inc” Upon receipt of payment a CD (as portable document format (PDF)) containing the Bidding Documents will be sent to the requester. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Addenda, if any, will be provided electronically to plan holders and a return receipt will be requested to verify receipt.
Qualifications:
For this project, bidders must be on the City’s Pre-Qualified Bidders List as a qualified contractor for the construction outlined in the form filled out in the appendices of the bid documents. Contractors must attach a copy of the pre-qualification letter to the outside of their bid. Should the Pre- Qualification letter not be attached bid may not be accepted and may be returned un-opened. The successful bidder will be required to submit a list of his subcontractors for approval before award of contract. The prime contractor shall have a Florida Underground Utility License. The prime or a subcontractor shall have a FDOT Certification as described in the bid requirements.
